Thank You for taking the time to learn more about the voter registration canvass that the Board of Election Commissioners is currently undertaking!!
By Missouri Law, the Board is required to conduct a canvass of all registered voters at least once every two years. One purpose of the canvass is to provide all registered voters with a permanent voter identification card. Another purpose of the canvass is to permit registered voters to update their registration information, i.e. their addresses, etc., if necessary.
Your canvass card will arrive in the mail in a white envelope marked “IMPORTANT NOTICE FROM ST. LOUIS CITY ELECTION BOARD.” Please open the envelope up and view the card inside. If your information on the card is correct, you are in good shape! Feel free to punch out the attached permanent voter identification card, sign it, and carry it with you – you may use this as a form of identification when you vote.
If your information on the card is incorrect, please notify us in writing of the corrections that need to be made. You can write the changes on the back of the card, sign the back of the card, and mail the card back to us. OR, you can write your name, date of birth, and correct information on a sheet of paper, along with your signature, and either
(1) fax to 622-3587
(2) scan and e-mail, or
(3) mail the document to the Board of Elections.
Your signature is required prior to changing your voter registration information, so we must have your hand-written signature on the document that we receive from you directing us to change your information. Important information is as follows:

If you believe you should have received a mailing from us, but you have not received such mailing, please contact us at 314-622-4336. Finally, if you have permanently moved to a new address outside the limits of the City of St. Louis, you must register with your new jurisdiction prior to voting!
For example; if you have moved to St. Louis County, you must register with the St. Louis County Board of Election Commissioners. If you have moved to St. Charles County, you must register with the St. Charles County Elections Office.
